About the Author

Dr. Barun Kumar De is a perfect blend of industry and academics. He stood first in Engineering from the Jadavpur University and was awarded three gold medals. He then passed the examinations of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (London) to become its member. He obtained his MBA degree with specialization in Financial Management from the Calcutta University and thereafter obtained Ph.D. He has since published 21 papers, some of which were adjudged best by eminent professional institutions. He served international organizations for about 15 years to attain the position of Chief Engineer. Thereafter he worked with Central Public Sectors and retired as Chairman and Managing Director of eminent Central Public Sector companies. Since last 9 years, now he is actively associated with development and promotion of quality higher technical education.
