I read this book more than 10 times already and there are some chapters May be I read 20 times. One warning about the book, if you fully believe in everything in the book, it might create a disconnection towards outside world. Then, it means you probably misunderstood it. The Real is fully presented in this book and it is not easy to digest for a man who grew up in kali yuga. Well understand that it is not necessary to be in all meditative state and remove yourself from active life to become enlighten. You can be active and be meditative at the same time, only realize there is a different reality within you. Reading this book was a kind of a reminder for me.
Overall, I recommend this book to everyone.

Maha Yoga -- The Supreme Science as taught conceived notions about the reality of ego/soul/body/world.
As per Bhagavan Ramana in this book, being already the Supreme Self or pure aware consciousness we on account of ignorance (due to avidya maya) constantly misidentify our real Supreme Self with the perishable food body and its illusory occupant, the ghostly ego and then make superfluous efforts or sadhanas to realize the Supreme Self which we already are anyway.
The author repeatedly reminds the reader that mere theoretical knowledge of advaita is as good as useless. Only actually realizing the real Self by erasing the ghostly ego like Bhagavan Ramana did is what really counts. Unless that happens one should diligently pursue the quest of the real Self.

Maha means great and Yoga means a path of reunion. Here the Great Path is outlined and explained in a truly timeless and masterful way. Written by a direct disciple of the great Ramana Maharshi, this is a very important guide book for the seeker of Ultimate Reality. First published in 1937, with numerous printings since then, this book is as fresh and new as a perfect spring morning. Chapters include The Sage, The World, God, The Quest, The Egoless State, and much more. For the modern day nondualist seeker, this is a treasure chest of spiritual wisdom. The author declares that we all, consciously or unconsciously, are always looking for the Supreme Beatitude of the egoless state, i.e., direct knowledge of the One, the Self. To quote a bit from the book: "The right thing to do is not to go on framing questions and seeking answers...but to arrest the culprit, the ego, put him in the dock, and dispose of him by the Quest of the real Self, which he pretends to be. In other words, one should discover the real Self, who is the final answer to all questions. Every question that arises is vitiated by the ignorance which takes the ego at its face value, as the real Self. All questions are therefore reducible to one, 'Who am I?'. This question is the Quest of the Self, by which the egoless state is won." For the person who's ears are ready to hear, this book is sweet music indeed!!!
